Buckhead Atlanta, the eight-block transformation of rowdy bars and dives into a luxury shopping and residential district, has landed several new retailers:
-- Menswear and women's wear brand Billy Reid will open its 2,104-square-foot boutique this summer, its second location in Atlanta.
-- Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 will offer handcrafted cigars, tobacco products and accessories. This marks its first freestanding Atlanta store, a 3,047-square-foot shop that will open in spring.
-- Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery, which sells high-end fixtures, will open its 13,183-square-foot showroom this summer.
-- Les Copains will launch its first U.S. shop, a 933-square-foot store. An opening has not been set.
-- Vilebrequin, a chic swim shorts brand, will open in its first Atlanta store, an 827-square-foot location this summer.
San Diego developer OliverMcMillan Inc. has led the redevelopment of the once stalled project, formerly called Streets of Buckhead, which it acquired from another developer and its capital partners in 2012. Buckhead Atlanta also includes apartment towers and restaurants. Of late, it's been on a roll with several new retailers, including the announcement late last year of luxury French label Dior.
Dior is opening its first freestanding store in Atlanta, a roughly 5,000-square-foot, two-story boutique that will take a prominent spot along Peachtree Road.
