February 24, 2015
Intermix, a multi-brand specialty retailer of women’s designer apparel and accessories, will open its newest boutique at Buckhead Atlanta on Friday (Feb. 27), bringing the brand to 43 stores throughout North America and its second in the Atlanta market.
“We look forward to bringing even more of our signature styling and exclusive merchandise to Atlanta, Buckhead being our second boutique in the market,” states Jyothi Rao, Intermix president.
The design of the approximately 1,500-square-foot Intermix boutique was “inspired largely by the urban culture of the area and the raw elements seen in local, southern architecture and feels authentic to its neighborhood,” according to a company press release.
The interior incorporates oak wood flooring, digitally printed natural fabric wall coverings and a black Travertine stone cashwrap. Luxe touches are displayed throughout the fitting rooms, including suede curtains, stools and benches, and silk carpet.
The fixturing boasts a custom brushed stainless designed screen which acts as a backdrop for the elevated mannequins and merchandise.
With doors in top luxury markets including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and Chicago, and its international door in Toronto, Intermix offers a mix of emerging and established designers with the latest stylish discoveries within its boutiques as well as www.intermixonline.com.
“Each boutique’s assortment is hand-selected to reflect the nuances of its neighborhood and clients, presenting an array of designer’s side-by-side,” according to the company’s announcement. “Within the intimate boutiques, personal stylists work one-on-one with clients to create compelling looks.”
Intermix was purchased by The GAP Inc. in 2012. Gap Incl is an international retailer offering clothing, accessories, and personal care products for men, women, children, and babies under the Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Piperlime, Athleta, and Intermix brands.
