OliverMcMillan Opens Buckhead Atlanta

September 18, 2014

ATLANTA (Sept. 18, 2014) – OliverMcMillan has opened Buckhead Atlanta, the world-class shopping, dining, working and living district first conceived about a decade ago. The district is a landmark development for the city of Atlanta and the Southeast, and it was recently honored as Project of the Year by the Atlanta District Council of the Urban Land Institute.

“The entire team at OliverMcMillan is so proud to reopen these streets today,” said Dene Oliver, CEO of OliverMcMillan. “My partners, the OliverMcMillan staff and I poured our hearts out to create for Atlanta a streetscape environment worthy of this beautiful city and a destination that can only be found in one of the world’s great cities.”

Buckhead Atlanta is located in the heart of Atlanta’s upscale Buckhead neighborhood on eight acres across six city blocks at the intersection of Peachtree and East Paces Ferry roads.

Designed to fit seamlessly into the existing Buckhead Village, Buckhead Atlanta offers pedestrian-friendly streets, lush landscaping, upscale residences, great food, and luxury and contemporary retail shops.

“We are filled with gratitude for Mayor Kasim Reed, the City of Atlanta, and our retail restaurant, office and residential tenants,” Oliver added. “Our forward-looking investors and financial institutions as well as our team of architects and landscape consultants have been a big part of helping us to create an extraordinary place for Atlanta residents and visitors.”

This district ushers in a new level of luxury and sophistication to the city, attracting the most sophisticated visitors and shoppers throughout the Southeast and putting Atlanta on the map as a national luxury shopping destination. In addition to world-class retailers and restaurants, Buckhead Atlanta’s team will work to impart OliverMcMillan’s culture of excellence and service to guests. The culture is best exemplified by its motto, “Always. Gracious.”

Buckhead Atlanta now has 36 confirmed restaurants and shops. The first shops will open on Sept. 18 in the district that boasts cobblestone streets and gorgeous landscaped common areas. Then, a new retailer or restaurant will open its doors each week through the end of the year and into 2015.

“We curated an exclusive, luxurious collection of retailers and restaurants from around the world,” said Jeff Zeigler, senior director of retail services for OliverMcMillan. “It is our passion to continue to make Buckhead Atlanta a vibrant heart for this incredible community.”
